Every month is Pride Month on Astrea where since Day 1, we've strived to make it clear that everyone is welcome, and have always actively advertized a safe place for writers and characters of all spectrums of gender and sexuality identity. But, in the Spirit, I hope you are enjoying the delightful colors on our splash page this month.

I am!

This group of writers is and has always been special, and I hope it continues to be that way. We're pretty large as far as a single ship crew goes, but we'll always make room for more. This year, and even for bit longer activity has ebbed and flowed, but one thing has remained - writing has stayed for the purpose of being fun. And everyone here has been supportive when someone has needed to take a break when life has been too busy or too hard to reach into those creative spaces. I hope everyone here still likes it here, and if that ever changes, always reach out to let us know what we can do better.

Congratulations to the Sim for Award of Merit for May, the Silver Unit of Distinction, and to Maxun Spello for Writer of the Month. A special thanks to so many writers this year for their work on developing this mission as it comes to a close. Spello in particular has been driving some of the battle action as we hit our final confrontation, but so many have had major roles in keeping this mission going.

I hope everyone here always feels they can write freely and contribute to the story, have the freedom to play around - even with our mission, and have a lot of fun!
