Gone, Without Ever Knowing the Way

The USS Dalton went missing in 2380, while studying the Vaulteran Nebula in Bolian Space. However, information has come in that a trader on Freecloud has information about where the Dalton is located. The information is coming into Astrea as the traders were setting up shop on Freecloud, a planet in the Alpha Doradus system, known for being a Mecca for businesses, free traders, and others.

The Pakleds are already interested and may have made an offer, and Astrea is hoping to intercept this information.

The Alpha Doradus system is a long way from Bolian Space, located in the Beta Quadrant just outside of both Federation and Romulan Space. However, Astrea extracted information from the trader's ship indicating that the last known coordinates of the USS Dalton put the vessel at a crash site inside of the Typhon Expanse - an area known for spacial and temporal anomalies. Is it possible a wormhole transported them across quadrants?

The USS Astrea is once again at Barisa Prime. Starfleet is a neutral host to a conference for Vulcan Romulan Unification discussions. The Marines are being used in their peacekeeping capacity as security for the conference. Seats are available for Starfleet officers to attend many of the talks, and diplomatic officers are being used to faciliate relationships among the disparate Vulcan and Romulan social groups during open social hours.

Officers are be permitted 48 hour shore-leave, with Department Head approval, and coverage permitting. Astrea should remain staffed at all times during this visit. We are all asked remain vigilant as there are a number of groups who are benefitting from the disarray in the Beta Quadrant and would love to see these talks fail.

This mission will take a turn, and the Astrea will become unexpectedly more involved when a key member of the conference turns up dead under mysterious circumstances. We will have to get to the bottom of what happened, and who is responsible.
